DK Music

Dan loves to form creative collaborations with new artists, and has been fortunate to work with clients throughout the South of England. Dan enjoys working with songwriters at all stages of the process, from helping to develop chord progressions and initiate recording sessions; to mixing and producing; to mastering and distributing. He strives to create a warm and rich sound palette, often using his compositional skills to enhance the songwriter’s vision.

Dan has a recording studio setup at his home in Sussex, and uses this space to record and produce for clients. Continuing to invest in recording equipment, he has an extensive microphone selection, suitable for almost any project. Dan uses a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 in conjunction with a Focusrite OctoPre MKII Dynamic. This allows him to record up to 16 channels at a time (ideal for band demos or detailed drum sessions). He mixes using KRK Rokit 5 speakers - a system he knows and trusts well. Dan also continues to invest in powerful analog-emulating plugins from Waves, Slate Digital, EastWest and Soundtoys.

Below are some examples of work that have been commercially released.
